The Situation Test is the second stage of the selection process for B.Des programs at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. It is designed to evaluate a candidate’s practical creativity and ability to think in three dimensions.
What is the Situation Test & Why is it Important?
In this test, candidates are required to create a 3D model using a set of given materials based on a specific theme or problem. Along with the model, students must write a brief explanation (write-up) describing their concept. The Situation Test carries significant weightage in the final selection. A strong performance here can greatly improve your rank, even if your written exam score is average.
This is the deciding stage—many students lose or gain ranks here.
